Headquartered in Harrogate, the beautiful and historic Victorian spa town in North Yorkshire, England, WRAITH Defence is a land platforms & land systems specialist. 

Excelling in the design, manufacture, assembly, MRO, upgrades, modifications, and system integration of cost effective and advanced land platforms, tactical and armoured vehicles for the defence and law enforcement industries.

Our highly qualified designers, engineers and craftsmen utilise their years of experience to successfully design and construct the highest quality land platform systems.

With flexible manufacturing, testing and warehouse space in multiple locations across the counties of Yorkshire and Lincolnshire in England. 

We are implementing best in class procedures and practices on a mission to become a global beacon, driving ever higher quality and efficiency.

The WRAITH brand was born in 2003, beginning as an independent sole proprietor founded by British Army Veteran Richard Matthews who had his military career cut short after being wounded in service. 

Initially offering hostile environment risk management services in the early 2000's, the enterprise grew to provide large scale force protection for allied governments and agencies through to 2009.

Awarded UKTI (United Kingdom Trade & Industry now the Department for Business & Trade) Most Outstanding Exporter (Overall Winner) (2007).

As the world changed the enterprise naturally evolved to offer infrastructure and engineering services. As a partnership with brothers Richard, veteran and engineer, and David, a logistics specialist. 

The partnership evolved through various transitions into WRAITH DEFENCE TECHNOLOGIES LTD an engineering company serving allied defence and law enforcement industries.

WRAITH incorporated as a limited liability company in England & Wales in early 2023. Proudly majority family and veteran owned, with several generations of the Matthews family working hard within the business. 

With the new corporation formed, the many years building a world class team and developing world class products, the WRAITH family are more ambitious than ever. 

Although our very humble beginnings and total dedication to excellence will never be forgotten.

WRAITH's registered office is situated in Harrogate, England, the historic spa town on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
